More proverbs

Here are some more proverbs that are worth thinking about. Remember: Don't take them literally, there's inferencing to be done here. That's why they work so well....on a few levels, as they say. There's more to them than just the words in front of you.

1. Ice three feet thick isn't frozen in a day.
2. A stone in water doesn't comprehend how parched the hill is.
3. Young gambler, old beggar.
4. The man who is carried on another's back does not appreciate how far off the town is.

Okay. These will make you think. Have fun, have a great vacation and see you all soon!

patrick Ice three feet thick isn't frozen in a day. It means that if you want to do somthing great you can not hurry it. Say you wanted to build a bridge across a lake you can't just throw a log over and walk across.
A stone in water dosen't comprehend how parched the hill is. Means that if you're rich you don't now how it feels to be poor. If you have food and have never been starving you don't now how it feels to be starving.
Young gambler, old begger
It mean's if you gambler when you are a young then when you grow old you will lose all your money and become an old begger.
The man who is carried on anothers back does not appreciate how far off the town is. That means that if you are being carried by someone you do not realize how much work that person is doing and you just say "go faster or hurry up" and you don't realize the person is working for you. Patrick
